marzo 15, 2024

Dear Trapview user,

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the highest quality products and services, we wish to inform you about an important update regarding 2nd and 3rd generation of Trapview electronic devices.

After careful consideration and in adherence to decreasing availability of 2G and 3G mobile signal frequencies worldwide, we regret to announce that 2nd and 3rd generation Trapview devices will reach its End of Life (EOL) on 31.03.2024. This decision is driven by our dedication to delivering cutting-edge solutions and ensuring the security and efficiency of your Trapview solution. Please note that the devices in question will continue to be fully functional under condition that the 2G or 3G mobile signal frequencies are available to the devices. Since the decisions on shutdown of 2G and 3G mobile frequencies are outside of EFOS or Trapview control, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted transmission of the data over 2G or 3G mobile signal networks.

Key points to note:

End of Sales Date: 1.1.2024
Effectively, with the start of this year we have already stopped the sales of any device from the series in question.

End of Firmware Updates and New feature development: 31.3.2024
Implications: Following the EOL date, 2nd and 3rd Generation Trapview electronic devices will no longer receive firmware updates, nor there will be any new feature development after the date stated here above. Continued use of the product beyond this date may expose your system to potential vulnerabilities and loss of data collected by the devices.

End of Technical Support Date: 31.12.2024
Although there will be no further product development for devices in question after 31st March 2024, the Trapview technical support will continue to support all users with valid support plans under the condition that 2G and 3G mobile signal frequencies are available in the area of operation of the devices.

End of Spare parts availability: 31.12.2026
Following the EU regulations on spare parts availability we will continue to have spare parts for 2nd and 3rd generation electronics in stock until 31.12.2026. After this date we will not be able to guarantee the stock for the electronic devices in question.
